Car seat stain Removal Northamptonshire
This Northamptonshire grey leather passenger car seat had a stain on the lower half of the backrest.
The Northamptonshire stain is partially dye transfer, but is also colour loss where the customer had attempted to clean the area in hopes of removing the stain himself and had taken the top coat of dye off.
In order to prevent any overspray the technician will lay down towels to cover the centre console area and mask up any other sections close to the repair site.
Firstly the area will be cleaned. We clean using leather cleaner and a lint free cloth.
Once the area is cleaned the technician will move onto prepping the area. They do this using leather prep and a lint free cloth.
Now the area is cleaned and prepped it is ready to begin the restoration.
Next the technician will mix the colour to match and apply a base coat of leather dye with a lint free cloth.
The technician will then dry the base coat using a hair dryer.
Now that the base coat is dry the technician will spray the area with leather dye using an air compressor.
Once the area is dyed and dried the technician will apply the final layer to the Northamptonshire car seat.
After Completion
Lastly the technician applies the lacquer. This is used to seal the Northamptonshire restoration. All of our products are water based except for the lacquer. Therefore the car seat needs to be left in order for all of the products to have enough time to cure.
Now that the Northamptonshire car seat restoration is completed the seat needs to be left for a couple of hours in order to dry. Then it is touch dry should the customer wish to touch it. Although this is not recommended. The car seat should be left for 48 hours as a minimum until it is used but this depends on how much colour is applied.
