This ivory set of sofas was in need of the best leather cleaning and colour restoration service. Firstly the sofas are deep cleaned. This is done using a leather cleaner and a scrubbing brush. There was such a great difference already just after the sofas were cleaned. See the pictures below.

Pictures include a half-and-half picture of one of the sofas. This is half of it as cleaned the other not yet touched. After the sofa is scrubbed with a scrubbing brush they use a lint-free cloth to remove all residue. Now that they are clean the technician uses leather prep. Similarly, they use another lint-free cloth to do so.

Steps To Clean Leather Sofas:

 

Once this is completed technician applies filler to the scratches on the sofa. Then hairdryer is used to dry the filler and then sandpaper is used to smoothen the areas. Next the technician applies leather dye. Initially this is one using a lint free cloth to apply a base coat to the sofa. After this the technician applies a top coat using the air compressor. This provides maximum coverage.

Once this is completed technician applies filler to the scratches on the sofa. Then hairdryer is used to dry the filler and then sandpaper is used to smoothen the areas. Next the technician applies leather dye. Initially this is one using a lint free cloth to apply a base coat to the sofa. After this the technician applies a top coat using the air compressor. This provides maximum coverage.

Finally, the technician then applies the final layer onto the sofas. This is of the lacquer which is used to seal the repair. After the leather cleaning service has been completed the area needs to be left for at least 1 hour until it is dry enough to touch if the customer wishes to have a closer look at the repair however we do not recommend it if you can help it. The area should then not be used for approximately 48 hours depending on how much colour and filler is applied during the repair and on how much damage there was to repair.

On going maintenance

We advise that all leather is cleaned and protected every six months this allows the leather to stay clean and fresh and the protection cream gives that extra barrier between the wear and tear and the sofa.
