Our customer required a centre console to be colour changed, he had purchased the facelift model to replace the old model but was unable to locate one in the colour required.

Upon arrival on site to undertake the colour change, we had to make checks. We need to ensure the sheen on the top coat was a match with the remainder of the interior. Moreover, we do this to ensure that the console matches perfectly so that it looks original. First we started by undertaking a full clean to remove any dirt or debris from the leather. After that we started prepping the leather using our leather solvent cleaner. After it’s fully prepped we were able to start to apply a base coat of leather dye by hand. The drying process can be sped up. For instance by using a hair dryer or heat gun. Then we apply our final coats using an airbrush so we get a nice even coat. Once we are fully satisfied with the finish we apply three coats of sealant in the desired finish. In other words, the colour change is complete.
