Cracking Leather Seat Sofa Repairs
The sofa in the picture above had been severely suffering from cracking in its leather. The texture of the sofa had completely changed and it had become rough. Our technician arrived at the customers house and began by setting up equipment. Cracking Leather Repairs
Firstly the technician cleans the sofa with leather cleaner and a lint free cloth. Next they use another lint free cloth and leather prep to prep the seats. Now the technician uses sand paper to sand down the cracking sofa seats. Once this has been done the technician uses leather filler to fill the gaps of the cracks. After this has been done the technician uses the air brush to spray a coat of dye to the seats. The process of sanding down, filling and coating is repeated several times until the cracking is completely filled and it is coloured and appears to be looking normal.
After Completion
After the repair has been completed the area needs to be left for at least 1 hour until it is dry enough to touch if the customer wishes to have a closer look at the repair however we do not recommend it if you can help it. The area should then not be used for approximately 48 hours depending on how much colour and filler is applied during the repair and on how much damage there was to repair.
