This leather chesterfield sofa had 3 small holes in it. The customer requested we repaired them. Firstly our leather repairs technician cleaned the area with leather cleaner and a lint free cloth. This removes any dirt from the area. Next the technician preps the area. This is done using leather prep and another lint free cloth. Similarly this removes any dirt and debris from the area. As well as removing the manufacturers seal from the area.
Then the technician mixes the leather filler with leather dye to make it the same colour as the sofa. Once this has been done the technician applies the filler to the holes. This is then carefully dried with a hair dryer.
Now that the filler has been applied the technician sands the area down using 400 grit sand paper. After the area is smooth the technician can apply leather dye. This is done using an air compressor. The leather dye is applied to the area in order to blend the repaired holes in with the rest of the sofa.
