Our technician arrived at the customer’s home for Sofa Leather Restoration Services. Immediately upon arrival, the technician sets up the equipment. Then the technician begins to clean the sofa. They start by using a leather cleaner and a lint-free cloth to clean over the sofa pulling out any dirt. Then they start to prep the sofa using leather prep and another lint-free cloth to remove the manufacturer’s coating and any pesticides on the leather.

The technician applies filler to the damaged areas that require it. This is done by using sandpaper to sand down the areas initially and then once smooth applying filler. We use a spatula to apply the filler lightly and ensure it is spread evenly. Once this has been applied the technician may sand it down further and apply more filler where necessary.

Once this is done the technician then moves on to applying lime green colour to the sofa. First, the technician applies a base coat of lime colour to the sofa using a lint-free cloth. After this, the technician begins to use the airbrush to apply evenly spread coats of colour to the sofa. Once enough layers of colour have been built up the technician applies the final coat of lacquer to seal the restoration. All products used are water-based except the final cost of lacquer this is why it is important not to use the sofa straight away once the restoration has been completed.

After Completion Of Sofa Leather Restoration Services:

Once completed the lime green sofa leather restoration services, need to be left for at least 1 hour until it is dry enough to touch. This is if the customer wishes to have a closer look at the repair however we do not recommend it. The sofa should then not be used for approximately 48 hours. This depends on how much colour and filler are applied during the repair and on how much damage there was.

We advise that all leather is cleaned and protected every six months. This allows the leather to stay clean and fresh. The protection cream gives that extra barrier between the wear and tear and the sofa.
