Seat base cushion padding restoration Nottinghamshire
This Nottinghamshire three seater sofa has two flat seat base cushions on either end of it.
In order to restore the padding in these two seat base cushions the technician needs to enter the Nottinghamshire three seater sofa from its underside.
Once the Nottinghamshire sofa is flipped the technician will remove two of the feet from the sofa. Typically this would be the two at the bottom. (When the sofa is right way up this would be the front two feet).
Next the technician would use a staple remover tool to lift all the staples on the bottom of the Nottinghamshire sofa going across the front and up both sides.
Now that all the staples are lifted the technician will go along with pliers and remove the staples completely.
As a result of the staples being removed the dust cover is now able to be lifted to reveal the inside of the chair.
In order to gain access to the seating cushions the technician will use a drill with the correct size drill bit to remove the bolts from the top and sides of the seating section of the sofa.
Since the bolts have been removed the seating area of the sofa will now be removable from the rest of the frame.
Using the same tools and technique as before the technician will remove all staples along the yo of the seating unit to peel back the seating cover.
As this seating section is split into two it’s the top section of the seat that needs accessing. Just inside the seating cover the technician will lift the foam to the top of the section and begin to fill the rest of the area underneath the foam with padding.
Once the area is completely stuffed full of foam the technician will use one hand to pull the cover tight and the other hand to staple it back to the frame.
Now that the cover is re fitted to the frame the technician will place the seating unit back in place and re fit using the bolts earlier removed and the drill with the correct size drill bit.
After the Nottinghamshire sofa frame is all secured, the technician can re attach the dust cover to the bottom of the sofa.
Once the dust cover is re attached the technician will re fit the feet previously removed and flip the sofa back over to sit right side up.
After Completion
Now the seat base cushions are completely full and providing much more support than they previously were. This takes the pressure off of the underside of the sofa preventing further issues from occurring as well as making the Nottinghamshire sofa much more comfortable to sit on.
