Webbing repairs Yorkshire
This Northamptonshire grey leather passenger car seat had a stain on the lower half of the backrest.
Due to the webbing being snapped underneath there is nothing to support the foam inside the cushion. Therefore when the cushion was sat on the Yorkshire customer fell into a hole.
In order to repair the Yorkshire collapsed seat cushion the technician must flip the chair over.
Once the Yorkshire chair is flipped the technician will aim to remove the dust cover on the bottom of the chair. As this is an old chair it’s held together with nails, the technician will use a staple remover tool to slightly lift the nails going across the front and up both sides.
Now that all the nails are lifted the technician will go along with pliers and remove the nails completely.
As a result of the nails being removed the dust cover is now able to be lifted to reveal the inside of the Yorkshire chair.
Next the technician will repeat the process of removing the nails holding the webbing to the frame by once again using the staple remover and pliers.
Once the nails are all removed the technician will take out all the old webbing.
Following the pattern the old webbing was displayed in, the technician cuts new webbing and attaches it to the frame using staples.
After Completion
Now that the new webbing has been fitted to the frame of the chair the technician will re fit the dust cover on the bottom of the chair using staples. We do this using a staple gun.
Once all is fitted the technician will flip the Yorkshire chair to be right side up.
As you can see having the webbing repaired made all the difference and you can both see and feel a change in the Yorkshire chair.
